Description: The FT857D, 897 uses a single
6-pin Mini Din for Audio IN/OUT makes it
possible for us to manufacture a smart data
cable without having so many cables running
between your rig and the PC. This is a better
approach even from the RF point of view. Even
for the Portable/Mobile operator or Dx-pedition
operator, it is convenient to carry a small and
simple cable in the trouser pocket without bulky
boxes having too many controls, but does the
same job. FT857D and 897 both have a very effective VOX
circuit where all the paramaters like VOX gain,
delay are adjustable using Menus. Therefore it
is not required to use separate PTT circuits
which increases the cost of the data cable
products. That is why we have already sold more than 250 units
worldwide.
We have also successfully tested this device
with MixW2, Ham Radio Deluxe, AAVoice software
programs.
